Key findings
At the other end, Ghost Tour Dublin is the lowest-rated of the seven at 4.04 stars from 25 reviews, and five of those reviews (20%) give a single star. Farmaphobia in Fordstown, County Meath, has more Google reviews than any other attraction in the ranking at 582, and is sixth at 4.43.
Cork has the two best-rated attractions in the country, and the three in Dublin are ranked fourth, fifth and seventh: The Gravedigger Bus Tour (4.49 from 357 reviews), Ghostbus Tour (4.45 from 357) and Ghost Tour Dublin (4.04 from 25). The average across the seven, with every attraction given equal weight, is 4.61.

Method
How we did it
We used the DataForSEO Business Listings database and Google Maps search results to pull the listings for ghost tours and haunted and scare attractions across the Republic of Ireland on October 8, 2026, and checked every attraction in the ranking against its live Google listing the same day.
We kept the seven that were open for the 2026 Halloween season, meaning each has at least 10 Google reviews and has received a new review since the start of September 2026. That is 1,799 Google reviews in all. Escape rooms, historic buildings and castles billed as haunted, pumpkin patches and farms where Halloween is one event among many, attractions that have closed or moved abroad for the season and duplicate listings were left out. Ghostbus Tour combines the Ghostbus Tour and Ghostbus Kids Tour listings, which share an address.
Each attraction was ranked by its exact average rating, worked out from its count of one, two, three, four and five-star reviews rather than the rounded score Google displays, so attractions that show the same rating on Google are still put in order. Where two attractions have exactly the same average, the one with the larger share of one-star reviews ranks lower.
Ireland has only a handful of ghost tours and haunted attractions on Google Maps, so no minimum above 10 reviews was set and the scores rest on different numbers of reviews, from 12 to 582. County averages give every attraction equal weight (the mean of the attraction averages) and cover the four counties with an attraction in the ranking.
