Canada's three worst-rated Tim Hortons are all on the same highway, according to Google reviews
The three worst-rated Tim Hortons in Canada are all at service centres on the eastbound side of Highway 401 in Ontario, according to Google reviews. The restaurant at Woodstock is the lowest-rated in the country, averaging 1.98 stars from 844 reviews, and 70% of its reviews give a single star.

Key findings
The Highway 401 restaurants at Port Hope (2.02) and Cambridge (2.08) are second and third from the bottom. At the other end, the Tim Hortons at Eglinton Square in Scarborough is the best-rated in Canada at 4.76 from 1,270 reviews, ahead of 104 Avenue NW in Edmonton (4.74) and Sheppard Street in Winnipeg, which scores 4.74 from 3,334 reviews, the most of any restaurant in the top 10.
The average Tim Hortons in the ranking scores 3.72, and 22 of the 2,438 restaurants average below three stars. Outside Ontario, the lowest-rated is on Windsor Avenue in Kamloops, British Columbia, fourth from the bottom at 2.26. Rang Saint-Edouard in Saint-Liboire, Quebec, is fifth, and Brossard has two of the 10 worst, on Boulevard du Quartier and Boulevard Leduc. Student Union Boulevard in Vancouver, Humber College Boulevard in Etobicoke and 56 Avenue in Langley Township complete the list. Five of the 10 best-rated are in the Toronto area, three are in Alberta, in Edmonton and Grande Prairie, and Vancouver's SE Marine Drive restaurant is fourth.
Quebec has the lowest-rated Tim Hortons of any province, with its 449 restaurants averaging 3.60, followed by British Columbia (3.66) and Alberta (3.74). Newfoundland and Labrador's restaurants are the best-rated at 3.92, ahead of Saskatchewan (3.85) and New Brunswick (3.82).

Method
How we did it
We used the DataForSEO Business Listings database to pull the Google Maps listings for Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada on October 5, 2026, 3,867 listings in all.
We kept the listings named Tim Hortons that Google files as a coffee shop, cafe or restaurant, that link to the chain's own website, that were open and that had at least 500 Google reviews. Closed restaurants, staff-only counters and a distribution centre were left out, and where two listings shared an address or map location we kept the one with more reviews. That left 2,438 restaurants and 2,493,858 Google reviews.
Each restaurant was ranked by its exact average rating, worked out from its count of one, two, three, four and five-star reviews rather than the rounded score Google displays, so restaurants that show the same rating on Google are still put in order. Where two restaurants have exactly the same average, the one with the larger share of one-star reviews ranks lower.
Every restaurant named in the national and provincial lists was checked against its live Google listing on October 8, 2026, and the lists use those live figures. The other restaurants keep their figures from October 5.
Each province's average gives every one of its restaurants equal weight (the mean of the restaurant averages) and is shown for the nine provinces with at least 10 restaurants in the ranking. Prince Edward Island has eight ranked restaurants and Yukon and the Northwest Territories have one each, so they are left out of the province tables.
